Once upon a time, two L.A. stylists started a line of headpieces for fearless girls (not the faint-of-heart). They stitched together colorful silks, shiny rhinestones, and bold feather plumes for their Ban.do collection (from the French word for headband). As they worked well into the night, they dined on onion rings, drank champagne, and dreamed about belts, collars, and corsages.
